New Zealand declared at 715 for six, with skipper Kane Williamson unbeaten on 200, to lead Bangladesh by 481 on the first innings of the first Test in Hamilton on Saturday.
Williamson called a halt to the innings halfway through the middle session on day three after he brought up his double century with a boundary, according to AFP report.
It was New Zealand’s highest ever Test total, eclipsing the 690 against Pakistan in 2014, and Williamson’s second double hundred.
Tom Latham made 161, Jeet Raval 132 and Henry Nicholls 53. For Bangladesh, Soumya Sarkar took two for 68 and Mehidy Hasan took two for 246.
